Thin Film Technology (TFT) Announces Joint Venture with POCO to Establish CoreMagna Technologies in Hong Kong
Hong Kong – Thin Film Technology (TFT), a leading provider of high-performance electronic components, today announced the signing of a joint venture agreement with Shenzhen Platinum New Materials (a subsidiary of POCO Holding). The partnership will establish a new joint venture company, CoreMagna Technologies, headquartered in Hong Kong.
CoreMagna Technologies will be established with a registered capital of HK$100 million. TFT will hold a controlling 51% stake in the joint venture, while Platinum (POCO) will hold the remaining 49%.
This strategic joint venture aims to integrate TFT’s advanced component design capabilities with POCO’s industry-leading expertise in metal soft magnetic materials. CoreMagna Technologies will focus exclusively on the research, development, manufacturing, and global sales of high-end magnetic materials, power inductors, precision resistors, and other critical electronic components.
“The establishment of CoreMagna Technologies represents a significant milestone for TFT as we expand our footprint in high-density power delivery networks (PDN),” said the management team at TFT. “By combining our strengths, we are now uniquely positioned to provide our global customers—especially in the AI server, telecommunications, and automotive sectors—with highly integrated, ultra-low loss power management solutions.”
The joint venture operates as an independent entity in Hong Kong, ensuring a resilient and globally optimized supply chain to support TFT’s rapidly growing international customer base.
